Sales as a service in Prague means handing your prospecting, meeting booking or whole sales cycle to a team working from the Czech capital, for a monthly fee instead of a salary. For a Czech software company, it opens export markets without hiring in every country. For a foreign IT or SaaS vendor, it reaches Czech and Central European buyers before there is an office.
This guide answers the practical questions behind a search for sales outsourcing in Prague: languages and markets, time zones, labour costs compared with Germany and the EU, what a Prague team cannot do, and how an engagement starts. For the model in general, read what sales as a service is.
Who uses sales as a service in Prague, and why
Three kinds of companies have a good reason to look at it.
- Czech IT and software companies selling abroad. You want meetings in Germany, Austria or the UK without a local hire in each market.
- Foreign vendors selling into Czechia and Central Europe. You need outreach in Czech, knowledge of the local rules and people in your buyers' time zone.
- Companies testing a market before hiring. A few months of outreach show which segment, message and channel work before anyone signs an employment contract.
In each case the provider brings people, method, data and reporting; you keep the product, the pricing and the final word on who is a good customer. Run your whole IT sales motion this way and it becomes IT sales outsourcing.
Which languages and markets can a Prague sales team cover?
Czech and English as a baseline, and often German and other European languages. What decides your results, though, is not the country's talent pool but the named people on your account.
The ABSL Report 2026 counts 200,000 jobs in the Czech business services sector in 2025, across 380 centres, with 214,000 expected in 2026. The full report says these centres work in an average of 9.5 languages, some in up to 30: English is used in every centre, German in 87%, Czech in 73%, and Italian and French in 70% each.
Read that with care: the same report says 80% of the centres are captive, working for their own group rather than outside clients. The figures show that multilingual professionals work in Czechia, not that a given sales provider employs them.
Ask market by market who will write and call in each language, and whether it is their native one. Non-native or machine-translated copy costs most in the first message, the one a buyer judges you by. We run outreach in English, Czech and Turkish; for other languages, the honest options are a native specialist or a local hire.
Prague time zone: which markets you can reach in office hours
Prague runs on Central European Time, UTC+1, and moves to UTC+2 from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. A Prague team shares the whole working day with most of the EU and only a slice of it with the United States.
| Market | Time difference from Prague | Shared office hours |
|---|---|---|
| Germany, Austria, Poland, France, Italy, mainland Spain | None | The full day |
| UK and Ireland | 1 hour behind | 7 hours |
| Turkey | 1 hour ahead in summer, 2 in winter | 6 to 7 hours |
| United Arab Emirates | 2 hours ahead in summer, 3 in winter | 5 to 6 hours |
| US East Coast | 6 hours behind most of the year | About 2 hours, Prague afternoon |
| US West Coast | 9 hours behind most of the year | None in normal hours |
Shared hours assume 9:00 to 17:00 on both sides. EU countries and the UK change their clocks on the same dates, so European gaps stay fixed; Turkey and the UAE do not change their clocks and the US changes on other dates, so those gaps move. The offsets follow the IANA Time Zone Database, the reference software uses for local time.
In practice: European buyers live all day, Turkish and Gulf prospects in the Prague morning and early afternoon, New York only late in the Prague afternoon.
How much does sales outsourcing in Prague cost compared with Western Europe?
Labour in Czechia costs a little over half the EU average and less than half the German level, but only part of that gap reaches the price of a sales service.
Eurostat estimates average hourly labour costs in 2025 at EUR 34.9 across the EU, and its labour cost database puts Czechia at EUR 19.8 and Germany at EUR 45.0. These figures include non-wage costs such as employers' social contributions and cover companies with 10 or more employees in industry, construction and services except public administration.
For Prague sales roles, the Grafton Recruitment salary survey in the ABSL Report 2026 lists CZK 42,000 to 52,000 gross a month, variable pay included, for an inside sales specialist in a Prague business services centre (Q3 2025, mainly starting salaries). At the Czech National Bank rate of 25 September 2026 (EUR 1 = CZK 24.35), that is about EUR 1,725 to 2,135. Brno is slightly lower, at CZK 40,000 to 50,000.
The catch: a provider's price is not a salary. It pays for people, data, tools, management and, with a good provider, a guarantee, so a lower cost base buys a lower price or more senior people, never free outbound. Compare offers on the cost per qualified meeting, as in what B2B sales outsourcing really costs in 2026, and see our plans on the pricing page.
Hiring a sales rep in Prague vs outsourcing
A Prague hire costs less than a German one, but you still carry employer costs, ramp time, management and the risk that the person leaves.
On top of the gross salary, a Czech employer pays 24.8% in social security contributions (MPSV) and two thirds of the 13.5% health insurance premium (VZP), both on the employee's assessment base, broadly the gross salary. That adds roughly a third to gross pay, before a laptop, CRM seat, data, recruiting and management time. Confirm the details with a Czech payroll adviser.
Time costs more. The Bridge Group's 2025 SDR research, based on 351 B2B companies, found an average ramp of 3.0 months, an average tenure of 1.9 years and median attrition of 40%. It is not a Prague study, but ramp and turnover do not shrink with the salary.
One hire also covers only the languages that person speaks; an outside team can test two or three markets before you hire for the one that works. Our Launch plan costs EUR 1,750 a month, close to the gross salary alone of a Prague inside sales specialist at the low end of Grafton's range, with five qualified meetings a month guaranteed. Our page on outsourced sales vs an in-house SDR compares both sides.
Selling to Czech companies: consent rules for email and calls
Commercial email to Czech companies needs the recipient's prior consent, so a US or UK outbound plan cannot be copied into Czechia unchanged.
The Czech data protection office (ÚOOÚ) explains that Act No. 480/2004 protects every individual or legal person, so B2B email is covered, that consent must come before the message, and that the form of electronic communication is immaterial. The exception is existing customers, for your own similar products or services, with a simple, free way to opt out.
Calls have their own rules, set out in the Czech Telecommunication Office's interpretive statement on telemarketing. Over both sits the GDPR: Recital 47 says direct marketing may be regarded as a legitimate interest, which still needs a balancing test and an easy opt-out and leaves national rules in force. Have your counsel confirm each country's channel plan; this is general information, not legal advice.
For research, the public ARES register confirms a Czech company's official details. Our guides to selling IT in the Czech Republic and to finding and qualifying IT sales leads cover the market and sourcing.
What a Prague-based sales team can and cannot do
A Prague team is strong at European outbound in the buyer's language and time zone, and weak where the job needs a local face, a distant time zone or your own product experts.
| Task | Can a Prague team do it? | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Czech outreach and calls | Yes, natively | Email needs prior consent; confirm call rules |
| German, English and other EU markets | Yes, in shared hours | A native speaker per language on your account |
| US prospects | Partly | East Coast in the Prague afternoon; West Coast needs shifted hours |
| Meetings in person | In Prague and nearby | Elsewhere means travel; plan first meetings by video |
| Technical deep dives and closing | Only with your experts | A founder or sales engineer on late-stage calls |
These limits are points to settle before you sign, not reasons to avoid Prague. If you are still comparing providers, our guide to sales outsourcing providers in the Czech Republic groups the local options by category.
How to start sales as a service in Prague
Settle a few things in writing before anyone sends a message, or the first month goes on arguing about what a good meeting is.
- Scope and markets. Countries, languages, and whether you need booked meetings (lead generation) or the whole cycle to signature (full sales cycle).
- Ideal customer profile and meeting definition. Industries, company sizes, roles and countries, and what counts as a qualified meeting.
- A channel plan per country. Consent where the law requires it, the rules for calls, and a check by your counsel.
- Setup that stays yours. Sending domains with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, which Google's sender guidelines require from bulk senders to personal Gmail accounts and which suit B2B too, and CRM access, all owned by you. See why cold emails go to spam for the technical side.
- Messaging per language. Written by native speakers, approved by you, built around the objections your team hears most.
- A fixed review rhythm. A weekly report and a monthly review against the guarantee. Our guide to making sales outsourcing work covers onboarding, KPIs and governance.
Frequently asked questions
Is sales outsourcing in Prague cheaper than in Germany?
Labour is: Eurostat puts average hourly labour costs in 2025 at EUR 19.8 in Czechia against EUR 45.0 in Germany. A provider's price also covers data, tools, management and any guarantee, though, so the price gap will not match the labour gap. Compare offers on the cost per qualified meeting, and ask what exactly the monthly fee guarantees.
Can a Prague sales team sell to the United States?
Yes, with limits. New York is six hours behind Prague for most of the year, so live calls fit into about two hours of the Prague afternoon, and the West Coast, nine hours behind, needs shifted working hours. Written outreach carries more of the load, and a founder or closer in a US time zone helps late in the deal.
Can you send cold emails to Czech companies?
In most cases, not without prior consent. Czech Act No. 480/2004 requires consent in advance for commercial email, and the ÚOOÚ says the law protects legal persons too, so B2B email is covered. Existing customers are the exception, for similar products or services, with a simple way to opt out. Calls have separate rules, so check your plan with counsel.
Which language should outreach to Czech buyers use?
Czech, written by a native speaker, for the first message and the first call. It shows you take the market seriously and removes an easy reason to ignore you. If the buyer answers in English, switch: the first impression matters more than the language of the meeting. International subsidiaries that work in English are the exception.
Sales as a service with IT SalesaaS
IT SalesaaS runs outsourced B2B sales for IT and SaaS companies, with outreach in English, Czech and Turkish: lead generation, the full sales cycle and IT sales outsourcing. If your target market needs sharpening first, sales strategy development comes before the first message.
Our plans are published on the pricing page: Launch at EUR 1,750 a month (6-month minimum, 5 qualified meetings a month guaranteed), Traction at EUR 2,900 (6-month minimum, 10 meetings) and Scale at EUR 4,900 (6-month minimum, 15 meetings, optional success fee in place of part of the retainer). A qualified meeting takes place with a decision-maker or influencer at a company matching the profile agreed in writing before the start, and a monthly shortfall carries into the next month at no extra cost. To discuss your markets, book a call.
